HousingWORKS June 2017

Housing affects all areas of a person’s life – including education, health and employment – and plays an important role in closing the life expectancy gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people. That is why we strive to provide equal and equitable access to affordable housing, choice and opportunity through innovative pathways, and focusing on the needs of Aboriginal people. In this edition, we share two innovative examples of how the Aboriginal Housing Office is having a positive impact on people’s lives. This includes our innovative solar project and the affordable housing project in Western Sydney, which demonstrate how the AHO is leading the way in housing for Aboriginal people in NSW. The full version of the magazine is available on-line in the Members Only section of the web-site.
