New AHI Director - the Northern Territorry

After a long period of active collaboration with the NT Department of Housing, we are delighted to announce that Andrew Clapham has been appointed to the position of AHI Director, in the Northern Territory.
"I am delighted to have the opportunity to not only contribute to the organisation’s future, but also to share experiences, collaborate and innovate right across Australasia.   I’m also looking forward to representing our members in the Northern Territory." says Andrew.
With relatively low number of members in the Northern Territory, the Institute has always been actively involved in the professional development of local social housing practitioners with a number of in-house and public workshops run in Darwin and Alice Springs annually. With the new leader we hope to engage more with the social housing community, run more networking events and grow membership.
'The social housing sector is such a challenging, yet rewarding place to work. Portfolios are characterised by ageing stock and demand is becoming more and more complex.  Now, more than ever, is the time to innovate and do things differently as we look to deliver better housing outcomes for the most vulnerable in our communities.' Andrew concludes.
