Call for contributions

Do you have an opinion, comment or analysis of innovative approaches and practice methods in the social housing sector – past, present or future? Are you keen to write an article and share it with your industry peers? If the answer is yes, please send us your contribution by Tuesday, 14 March 2017.

As with other industries, the social housing sector faces the constant pressure to innovate, improve and meet the expectations of governments, stakeholders, staff and of course, tenants. Your article may focus on one of the following or any other relevant topic:
  • Business innovation
  • Social enterprises / non-traditional revenue streams
  • Innovative housing practice
  • Innovative housing types
  • Innovative financing / funding models
  • Partnerships with private sector or NGO

Homelessness and Housing Solutions Conference

AHURI invites policy-makers and practitioners from across Australia to join them at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre for the national one-day Homelessness and housing solutions conference. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the latest AHURI evidence on the homelessness system in Australia, find out examples of housing solutions for formerly homeless people or those at risk of homelessness and see a big picture examination of the support services required to create housing stability for low-income Australians. Read more or register for the event.

National Housing Conference 2017

Registrations are now open for the National Housing Conference 2017 - Building for better lives. The biennial conference, to be held in Sydney from 29 Nov - 1 Dec 2017, will be the largest cross-sectoral event in Australasia for the social and affordable housing sectors. The most experienced practitioners and the leading policy makers from Australia and abroad will come together to discuss innovation in delivery, leadership in ideas and strategies for transformation.
