Hume Community Housing Association is a nationally accredited Tier 1 community housing provider managing or owning 2000 social and affordable housing properties in Metro Sydney. They are looking for a Risk & Compliance Co-ordinator to join their team.

Hume provides tenancy, property management, and support services directly and collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate sustainable housing solutions and enhanced positive social and community outcomes.
As an integral part of the business services team, the Risk & Compliance Co-ordinator has responsibility for actively assisting Hume to maintain compliance with regulatory, registration and organisational benchmarks. This includes taking ownership for ensuring:
- Maintaining Tier 1 registration and relevant accreditation status
- Compliance with WHS legislation and obligations
- The organisation's risk framework remains current
- Regular policy reviews and the development of new policies
- Keeping up to date with relevant changes to the sector
- Internal audits are performed in accordance with the internal audit plan
- Accurate reporting to the executive team and the board on risk and compliance issues
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong, proven background in organisational risk management, as well as strong auditing skills, governance experience, and also process improvement experience. Hume are a values driven organisation, so it is essential you share the same values.
