Short Profile
Hume Housing is a nationally accredited Tier 1 Community Housing provider. Currently, Hume manages and/or owns 2,000 social and affordable housing properties in metro Sydney. Hume provides tenancy, property management and support services directly and collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate sustainable housing solutions and enhanced positive social and community outcomes. Position Description

Reporting to the Income Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of the rent review process, reviewing and assessing rental subsidy applications, and eligibility assessment for Hume customers.  Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Data entry into multiple systems (excel, SDM, etc.)
  • Reconciliation of data received, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Customer service, face to face and over the phone
  • Liaising with other business units to pass on and retrieve information

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong attention to detail, possess excellent administration skills, have experience conducting rent and eligibility assessments for housing programs, and also have knowledge and an understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act.

Qualifications in Finance/Accounting are desired, and so is working knowledge of the National Rental Affordability Scheme.  Hume is a values driven company, so it is important that you share their values.
